Goliath grouper

Horse-eye jack

Bluestriped grunt

Goliath grouper
Enormous and unbothered, usually parked under a ledge or in a wreck's shadow.
Give it room and never block its way out from under an overhang.

Horse-eye jack
Big-eyed silver jacks that roll past in tight, fast schools.
Watch the blue over the wreck for a wall of them rather than scanning the deck.

Bluestriped grunt
Yellow flanks ruled with electric blue lines, in loose crowds under ledges.
Look into the shade under overhangs. A whole school can sit out the day there.
Best with recent experience
Descend the mooring to the deck, tour the superstructure and gun mounts, then ascend on reserve gas with a safety stop.
Can run strong on the surface; the crew calls the line and the drop.
Landmarks
Breezy
The crew confirms conditions and makes the final call at the dock. Forecast by Open-Meteo
